Saints of Tashkent

Description:

Welcome to Tashkent! This time I will take you to places that are connected with the most famous and revered people of the city. I mean the saints. The city at the beginning of the 20th century was divided into 4 districts, and each district had its patron saint. And we will start with the oldest, who lived in our city in the 10th century.

He glorified Tashkent throughout the Arab Caliphate. He became so respected and popular that after his death for several centuries the area around his mausoleum became very popular. And here is our next holy sheikh, who was the great-grandfather of the most powerful sheikh in the era of the last Timurids. Even Amir Timur, in gratitude to him, erected a mausoleum, because it was in the place where the mausoleum now stands that Timur was cured. This place has always been considered aristocratic in Tashkent. There was a tomb where the most revered and prominent figures of the city were buried. This saint lived almost at the same time as two others, one of whom came from Baghdad and the other was the 5th Sheikh of the Order of Yassaviah. And they too Timur built mausoleums, because he counted them very much. And they lived in the most terrible time in the history of Central Asia. Then there were no cities, and in the expanses of former states gangs of robbers were rampant. It was during this time that they helped people survive this terrible time. And now people do not cease to go to these mausoleums to honor their deeds and goodness.
