Alisher Navoi National Park
Chilanzar district, Almazar str., 183 A
Description:
Alisher Navoi National Park, located in Tashkent near Almazar Street, was opened in 1937 and named in honor of the great enlightener Alisher Navoi. The most romantic park of the capital, which, in addition to the standard set of attractions, has its own railway, existing since 1940.
This is an absolutely real railway - with rails, diesel locomotive, wagons and semaphores, but in a somewhat reduced form. Its machinists, station guards and conductors are teenagers aged 12 to 16 years, of course, not without the supervision of adults.
Today, the area of the park is 65 hectares, and the area of the water surface is 9 hectares.
The park has a number of attractions: the Oliy Majlis, the Palace of Weddings, the medieval madrasah Abulkasym, the Hall of Friendship of Peoples and the famous monument to Alisher Navoi.
This place has a complete composition of harmony, linking the great past of the people with an aspirational view of the future.
