Zaaminsky National Park

Uzbekistan, Jizzakh region, Zaaminsky National Park

Description:

The climate in these places is sharply continental, which suggests a wide range of temperatures depending on the time of year. In winter, the temperature here drops to -35 degrees, while at the end of July it reaches about the same figure, only with a plus sign. This climate is conducive to the growth of frost-resistant trees and plants resistant to drought.

The fauna of the forest part of the park is very diverse: lake frogs and ordinary thyroma muzzles live here, as well as bears, Turkestan lynx, martens and even the Central Asian Capricorn. The feathered part of the forest population is represented by such species as masons, klushits, Himalayan ular, and closer to the rocks there are bearded lambs, vultures and bald peeps.

Another attraction of the park is the huge red stones on the glade in Kyzyl-Ataxai, the shapes of which simply amaze the imagination with their quirkiness.
