Anna Akhmatova Club Museum
d. Tashkent, Buyuk Ipak Yuli St., 435 (House of Culture of Tashkent Tractor Plant), 2nd floor
About the company:
The club-museum of Anna Akhmatova, also called "Mangalochny yard", is dedicated to the work of the poetess. In December 2000, in Tashkent, in the House of Culture of the Tashkent Tractor Plant, a club-museum named after Anna Akhmatova was opened. This was not accidental, the fact is that all the evacuation years, from 1941 to 1944, Akhmatova spent in Tashkent.
The museum does not have authentic items of Anna Akhmatova, so the museum staff tried to recreate the atmosphere in which she lived in Tashkent. The museum holds a large number of meetings, concerts, readings and the museum constantly replenishes exhibits - these are gifts from Tashkent friends, autographs, many photos.
The museum is non-governmental and is supported by Russian and International Cultural Centers. The small museum of the Russian poet in Tashkent is becoming more and more admirers. The museum is interesting primarily for those who simply love Akhmatova’s poetry, but also pay attention to Russian culture.
