About the company:

The Museum "In Memory of the Victims of Repression" is located in a very beautiful building in Tashkent, not far from the memorial. Memorial complex "In memory of victims of repression" was opened in 2000 in front of the Tashkent TV tower.

The monument itself is a rotunda with a memorial stone, two museums and a park. The Rotunda is a domed building supported by eight columns. The memorial stone is placed in the middle of the dome towards Mecca. The inscription on the memorial stone reads: “The memory of those who died for their patronymic will live forever.” The Museum “In Memory of the Victims of Repression” was opened on August 31, 2002. It was a symbolic day of remembrance for the victims of repression. The building is made in oriental style with national ornaments.

At the beginning of the exhibition there is a car in which the NKVD took people. Exhibits of the museum will be able to tell a lot about the numerous uprisings that took place in the region in the name of freedom and independence of the Uzbek people, the fall of the Kokand autonomy in memorable February 1918, the Jadid movement, which sought to build an intelligent enlightened society in Central Asia. Ethnic cleansing, the search for internal enemies, the Gulag camps, and the so-called “cotton business” in 1980 are all chronicles of the history of the republic.

In the bright hall dedicated to the rehabilitation of "enemies of the people" there are models of mosques. The guide tells in great detail everything, in addition, the halls are equipped with modern monitors, on which you can see all the information yourself. The area around the museum is well-equipped, you can walk along the bridge over the Bozsu River (Anhor) and take a photo at the rotunda.
