About the company:

The Peterborough Archive Museum is a historical museum with over 33,000 artifacts. The museum consists of a main building and a pavilion built from a 150-year-old pine tree.

The museum opened to the public on October 31, 1898. At the time, the museum was located on the grounds of the Carnegie Library on George Street. The expansion of the museum collection confirmed the need for a new permanent place to house exhibits.

The museum offers unique access to historical documents covering Peterborough and surrounding areas. Museum exhibits include architectural drawings, commercial documents, diaries, government documents, letters, maps, books, films, paintings, sketches, photographs, etc. In addition to the main exhibition, the museum also presents a huge number of artifacts related to archaeology, ethnography, culture, technology and textiles.
