Cinema-Wine excursion to EtiekWood
Description:
In Hungary, you can easily plunge into the exciting world of filming.
Often you stumble upon them right during walks around Budapest - from time to time here and there are shootings of various European and overseas films, and not some "passable" there, but real blockbusters - Spielberg's "Munich" with Daniel Craig, "Carrier-3" with Jason Statet, "Mission Impossible: The Phantom Protocol" with Tom Cruise, "Die Hard 5: A Good Day to Die" with Bruce Willis, "World War Z" with Freddie Z, "Misssion Imposs" with Petite" with Petiteman...
And this is not a complete list of films shot at different times in Budapest! And if someone is interested in the process of filming, but there are no black trailers and numerous movie cameras on the streets of the city, then this can be corrected by a trip to the largest Hungarian film studio Korda, one of the most modern in Europe, which is jokingly called Etiekwood (by analogy with Hollywood).
Etiek is a small settlement 40 kilometers from the Hungarian capital, which was formerly known as the center of the nearest wine province to Budapest.
Now tasting wonderful wines in the cellars of local wineries becomes a pleasant addition to a visit to the visitor center, organized on the territory of the acting (!) film studio.
The list of films shot here is also quite impressive - from Hellboy 2 to The Martian with Matt Damon. Inspection of the interactive exposition devoted to the secrets of the processes of creating various tricks and effects, as well as the opportunity to look behind the scenes of exterior scenery, stroll along the “New York” and “Italian medieval” streets is interesting and fascinating for both children and adults.
The visitor center is open from Wednesday to Sunday (which may change due to the filming schedule).
