Matyash Church

The church is located in the city on the Castle Hill. Like Buda Castle in Budapest, it can be reached by bus from the center of Pest.

The church is open to believers and tourists on weekdays from 9.00 to 17.00, but on weekends it is much more difficult to get to it because of the large crowd. On Saturday you can visit it only from 9.00 to 13.00, and on Sunday from 13.00 to 17.00.

To visit, you must buy an entrance ticket. If you go to church with the whole family, you should buy a family ticket (2 adults + child).

The Church of St. Matyash is a beautiful monument of Gothic architecture. You will find beautiful frescoes and decorations both on the facade and inside the temple.
