St. Matthias Church is one of the symbols of Budapest and a must-see place. The church is built in the neo-Gothic style and majestically rises above the city. The cost of visiting in 2021 is 2000 forints, the climb to the tower costs an additional 2,200 forints. The interior of the cathedral amazes with its diversity and splendor.
You can get to the church of St. Matthias from the metro station Széll Kálmán tér on buses that run through the fortress, as well as on the funicular Budavári Siklo, but it costs much more than a regular ticket for transport.
