The Hunting Fountain of King Matthias
Budy Castle, Budapest, Hungary
Description:
The fountain called “Hunting of King Matias” in Hungary (Budapest) is a symbol of the city, and is located on the territory of the Royal Palace, reconstructed by Matiasam during the reign. The classical structure is represented by a multi-figure bronze composition, which serves as a decoration of the southern palace wall.
The sculptural image is a beautiful, but sad legend about the unrequited love of the daughter of the forester Ilonka to Matiash. The elegant and picturesque fountain was erected at the beginning of the last century. Attractions: 47.49832200 and 19.03795300.
