Monument to the People of Budapest
Description:
Budapest is famous throughout Europe for its picturesque architectural monuments. It seems that this city has a monument to literally everything that exists on our planet. This idea does not seem strange, given that the city even has a monument in honor of the inhabitants of Budapest.
This place is located literally in the center of the city, and therefore anyone can easily find it. It is located near the Parliament of the country.
The monument itself is an atypical picture of more than 6 dozen shoes standing along the embankment. They symbolize the people of the city.
The monument was unveiled on April 16, 2005, the Holocaust Remembrance Day.
The author of the monument is sculptor Julia Power.
