Tati Castle
Northwest Hungary, Tata, Komaro-Esztergom County
Description:
About 70 kilometers north-west of Budapest is the city of Tata, the so-called city on the water, where there is the castle of Tata, the same name with the city, and the story will go about it.
Tata Castle for its rich history, which lasts from the middle of the 14th century, and the city itself was founded in 1221. Since then, the castle managed to visit both the royal palace and the fortress, was captured and replaced by many owners. Now the castle is the pearl of the city and all of Hungary. It combines, as well as the romantic notes inherited from the once living Esterhazi family, and the majesty of the real fortress. A separate decoration for the castle and the whole city is the Old Lake, on the shore of which this beautiful fortress is located.
