Ludwig Museum
Hungary, Budapest, IX Komor Marcell utca 1
About the company:
The Ludwig Museum in Budapest was opened in the early 90s of the XX century, when the famous German collector Peter Ludwig decided to share his collection with several countries of Eastern Europe. Now the priceless gift of the generous patron is kept in the building of the Palace of Arts, located in Pest on the picturesque embankment of the Danube.
The expositions of the Budapest Ludwig Museum are very extensive and interesting, covering the works of American, German, Russian, French artists over the past 50 years.
The permanent collection contains valuable pieces of American pop art (Andy Warhol, Claes Oldenburg, Robert Rauschenberg, etc.).
The museums host temporary exhibitions featuring leading international artists and the most famous Hungarian masters.
It is considered a branch of the Cologne Ludwig Museum, as it was founded in Budapest thanks to him.
