Budapest Newgati Station

Description:

Budapest station Nyugati is located in Hungary at 55 Theresa street. Nearby is the station of the 3rd line of the Budapest Metro - Nyugati p lyaudvar.

The company was engaged in the construction of this architectural complex under the leadership of Gustave Eiffel in 1874-1877.

In general, Newgati is one of the first, and only three of them in Budapest, train stations. On October 28, 1877, a new station was opened to replace the first Pest station, which by that time did not meet the requirements of life. By the way, the Pest station was opened in 1846 and received trains that ran on the first railway line Pest-Vac in Hungary.

During the construction of the new station, the old building was not touched. Therefore, now this landmark of the city attracts lovers of architectural monuments, showing what was and remains the city of Pest.
