Budapest

Ferenc Liszt International Airport

Description:

Ferenc Liszt International Airport in Budapest in terms of the number of operating flights and passengers received per year is the first in Hungary, and one of the largest in Eastern Europe.

This airport was opened in 1947 and is located about 20 kilometers east of the center of the capital of Hungary. You can get here from the center of Budapest by the high-speed Ferihedi highway in about half an hour, depending on the congestion of roads. If you go by taxi (as most tourists do), the trip will cost approximately 5 thousand Hungarian forints. From any part of the city to the airport can be reached by a special minibus. However, it should be taken into account that such a bus works on pre-order, and gathers passengers almost throughout the city, which thoroughly stretches the journey time to the destination.

The airport specializes in working with Boeing and Airbus aircraft, although there are also models such as the An-225. In addition to such traditional services as parking, car rental, Wi-Fi area and cafes, passengers are offered a number of brand stores selling perfumes and jewelry.
