Newgati Station

Description:

Newgati is one of the three train stations in Budapest, which leaves an indelible impression of the city, the full world, the time when the city was just beginning its life. The opening took place on October 28, 1877. The station was built on the site of the first Pest station, built in 1846, receiving trains running on the first railway line of Hungary Pest-Vac.

The building of the Newgati station was built on a square called Newgatiter in Pest under the careful supervision of Gustave Eiffel in 1874-1877. The old architecture was not affected. Nearby there is a station of the third line of the metro Nyugati p lyaudvar, so getting from the other end of the city of Budapest will not be difficult.

Today, the station meets and accompanies people, connects fates and just gives everyone the opportunity to appreciate the beautiful architecture imbued with great history!
