Description:

During this route, I invite you to visit the amazing ancient city of Gyor, considered an example of Austrian Baroque. Its well-preserved historical center, the intersection of as many as three rivers, many small bridges thrown over them, the majestic Cathedral, which stores Guernia with the relics of St. King Laszlo I, attract numerous guests here. In a small family restaurant, we will be treated to a completely homemade 3-course lunch with wonderful local wine.

Pannonhalma Abbey is the main abbey of the Benedictines in Hungary, founded in 996 by Prince Geyza, father of St. King Istvan. The most valuable library contains more than 300,000 volumes, among which are handwritten and first printed books and valuable documents of the earliest existence of the Hungarian state, first written in Hungarian. Here you can see an art gallery containing real masterpieces of Italian, German, Dutch artists. The Abbey Monastery - the 2nd largest in the world and its main structure - St. Martin's Basilica are seen from afar, towering over a huge hill of 280 m, representing a stunning sight. But from the top of the hill there is a beautiful view of the surrounding hillland, passing into the plain.
