Halong Bay
Description:
Halong Bay is located in the Gulf of Tonkin of the South China Sea. Due to the peculiarities of the local landscape in the bay there are more than three thousand islands, each of which amazes with its picturesqueness. Renting a motor boat, you can travel here indefinitely - and each time you will discover something new for yourself.
The name of the bay “Halong” in Vietnamese means “the place where the dragon descended into the sea”. Locals live in so-called “floating houses” and spend almost their entire lives on the water. Surprisingly, after many years of such a life, these people feel something similar to the symptoms of seasickness.
The most civilized place in the bay is considered the island of Tuanchau - it is recommended to settle here.
