The story that gave the mountain its modern name happened in 1468. Vietnamese Emperor Le Thanh Ton, touring with the inspection of his lands, so imbued with the beauty of these places that he even composed poems. Their text was carved in stone on the southern slope of the mountain.
In 1729, the ruler of North Vietnam Trin Kuon decided to follow such an unusual example, and soon his poems also adorned on the slope of Bai Tu. Later, several poets immortalized their works in stone. It is no wonder that this place is called Mount Poem.
It has long been a tradition to come to the foot of the mountain for creative inspiration. It is carefully observed by local poets. At the same time, they follow the ritual of launching red balloons, to which scrolls with the best lines of classical poets are tied. For those who decide to overcome a steep climb to the top, a stunningly beautiful view of the surrounding area will open.
