Vietnamese Switzerland - mountain resort city Da Lat (Da Lat city)

A trip to the mountain resort town of Da Lat is incredibly exciting and eventful. This unusual for Vietnam "European" city was built in the early XX century by the decision of the French colonial administration. Very quickly, it became a popular and favorite holiday destination for the French, as well as wealthy Vietnamese, who considered Dalat exactly the place where you can comfortably spend a few days fleeing the sultry climate of Saigon. The city is no less popular today than in those days. Vietnamese Switzerland, the City of Flowers, Little Paris, the City of Lovers – this is how the Vietnamese themselves call Da Lat.

Modern Da Lat, located at an altitude of 1.460 m above sea level, is the administrative center of Lam Dong province, which occupies most of the Tainguyen plateau.

The distance from Nha Trang to Da Lata is about 150 km, the road passes through a picturesque mountain pass. Travel time from Nha Trang to Dalat by comfortable car / bus takes about 3 hours, which will fly for you quite imperceptibly. Along the way, I will tell you a lot of interesting things, besides, we will make a few stops – enjoy the splendor of the mountain scenery, as well as see how coffee is grown in Vietnam. After all, Lam Dong is just one of the two so-called “coffee” provinces of Vietnam (along with the province of Dak Lak), and the bulk of the population here is engaged in the cultivation and production of this segment of agricultural products.

- the Buddhist meditation school of the Chinese direction Chan - the working men's monastery Chuk Lam (Truc Lam);

- the world famous Crazy House - a hotel house, which today is included in the official rating of the 10 most unusual buildings in the world;

- Prenn National Park and Waterfall, where you can walk, ride elephants, feed crocodiles and monkeys, as well as visit a small farm where palm civets are grown and produce the world famous coffee Luvak (Chon);

- the Datanla Falls;

One of the most unusual and unique Buddhist temples in Vietnam – Linh Phuoc. All the buildings of this temple complex are exclusively laid out by hand with multi-colored fragments of broken glass (cups, plates, bottles and clay pots);

The old Da Lata station is the most beautiful station in French Indochina.
