Nha Trang Air Base

The Land of Gods and Handicraftsmen

Description:

Having made this fascinating trip, you will see Nha Trang from a completely different side - after all, we will visit places where there are absolutely no tourists, where the life of the indigenous people of the city takes place slowly, where for centuries the customs and traditions of ancestors have been honored, and the skill of artisans is passed down from generation to generation.

We will walk along the old narrow streets and drink a cup of traditional Vietnamese coffee near the unusual bamboo bridge, look at the traditional houses of artisans, where they produce incense from cinnamon, mats from reeds and homemade clay hearths, where many Vietnamese traditionally cook homemade food, as well as visit the place where the famous throughout Southeast Asia Yen Sao (salang swallow nests) are made - a real gift of nature and a valuable natural resource, which contains more than 30 members of the emperor and micro-family for a long time.

After that, we will visit the old Vietnamese house on 142 wooden columns, where you will see a rich collection of various utensils and household items of the 18-19 centuries, as well as the former estate of the governor of the province, made in the traditional architectural style of the era of French colonization of Vietnam.

Then we will find ourselves in a very picturesque and authentic place – an old Vietnamese restaurant on the outskirts of the city surrounded by rice paddies and ponds with flowering lotuses, where you will have a lunch of traditional Vietnamese cuisine.

After lunch we will go to Zyen Khanh, a small town in the vicinity of Nha Trang, which many locals call the “House of the Goddess”. In this place, we will walk near the picturesque Lake Am Chua, surrounded by majestic mountains, and then visit the temple of the main goddess of Khanh Hoa province – the Holy Mother of Thien-i-a-na. It turns out that the worship of this deity in these places is much older than the people who inhabit the province today!

After visiting the temple, we will visit the ruins and gates of the old citadel, which was founded in 1793 by Zha Long (the first representative of the imperial Nguyen dynasty), and then the Confucian Temple of Literature.

And we will end our journey in a very beautiful place called Tan Sean. This temple complex, which can rightly be called one of the most beautiful in Vietnam, is dedicated to the three-faced bodhisattva goddess Ushnishevijay, who symbolizes the enlightened thought of the Buddha, as well as protects against eight types of fear, helps all living beings suffering from serious diseases and gives relief from future suffering.

This tour is designed specifically for those curious tourists who want to get acquainted with the truly “real” Vietnam and see with their own eyes the full diversity of traditional Vietnamese life!
