Chi Nguyen Oceanarium
Description:
The Chi Nguyen Aquarium was built in 1971 by Le Kahn, a fisherman who loved nature and was very proud of his country. With his own money, he hired workers who built a dam that formed a large pond 160 meters long and 130 meters wide. The pond consists of three parts, the first of them is intended for growing fish - predators, the second - for aquarium fish, shrimp and turtles and other representatives of marine life.
Thus, the aquarium is a living museum of marine life of Nha Trang. To see such a titanic work of a simple fisherman come thousands of tourists from all over the world. Sea water circulates without problems in the aquarium itself, since the dams were built of stone laid in such a way as to provide enough space for water to circulate, which allows keeping marine animals in the aquarium.
The palace of Neptune (as the oceanarium is also called) is located in the depths of a small bay of one of the islands in the waters of the port and from afar resembles a docked pirate ship. Today, the Palace of the Sea King is considered the largest fabulous building in the country, opened in 1998 on the island of Honmieu near Lake Chi Nguyen. The palace was built in such a way that its shape resembles the fin of a huge fish.
On several floors, in the interiors corresponding to the stories of sunken ships and treasures, there are many fish, sharks and other inhabitants of the South China Sea, washing the coast of Vietnam. Particularly impressive by its importance and apparent clumsiness of the ferocious species are deep-sea fossil fish.
