Autumn colours in Kyoto
Description:
Friends! November and early December is a very picturesque time in Kyoto, when maples turn fiery red. The tradition of admiring the autumn, along with admiring the cherry, has a centuries-old history. Rare Japanese people miss this annual event. Only in the old capital you will find so many temple gardens, skillfully created by masters many centuries ago, but preserved its charm to this day. An integral part and pride of Japanese gardens are maples. The fairytale spectacle appears before the eyes of visitors when special evening illumination is turned on. This is amazing!
In a special autumn excursion, I suggest visiting several temples in the eastern part of Kyoto. The places I picked up are not the most popular among tourists (some people do not know at all!). But that doesn’t make them any less attractive. Quite the opposite! The maples are amazing in autumn! You will remember this beauty for a long time!
