Luxury Kyoto
Description:
Luxury Kyoto (8:30-16:30)
Kyoto is the cultural capital, sung by Kawabata, "Japan's St. Petersburg", where high-rise construction is prohibited in order to preserve the special atmosphere of the old capital. The Golden Pavilion will be the starting point of our program. Its name is literally - the two upper floors of the three-tiered temple are covered with sheet gold leaf, and on the top adorns the golden Phoenix. Here we will see the embodiment of the exquisite rigor reflected in the lake-mirror, Kikochi. Enjoying the beauty of the pavilion, we will walk through the beautiful garden of the XIV century, broken around. The trail will lead us to the tea house “Sekkatei”, where you can taste the traditional Japanese tea “mattya”.
Next, we will try to uncover the mystery of the Philosophical Garden of Stones, which is known to many Russian tourists thanks to the book by Vladimir Tsvetov “The Fifteenth Stone of the Ryoanji Garden”. The Mysterious Garden of Stones, The Philosophical Garden, The Garden of the Peace-loving Dragon Dozens of names near the main attraction of the Japanese city of Kyoto and probably its greatest value, and dozens of interpretations of the essence that the wise monk Soami put centuries ago into fifteen black untreated and varying in size stones scattered on white sand. There are 15 stones in the Ryoanji Garden, but if you look from the veranda of the temple, you can always see only 14 stones from any point. Traditionally, it is believed that the 15th stone can only be seen through education. What meaning was originally laid in this garden is unknown and the interpretation remains at the discretion of each of us. At sunset, visit the luxurious Nije Castle (Double Palace), which will give us some idea of the local way of life of the 17th century. Here we will walk along the "singing nightingale" floors. The palace is decorated in classic Japanese style: the floor is covered with tatami, each room has only three walls, the fourth, which should separate the room from the corridor, no. More precisely, this is not a wall, but light sliding doors. The distance between the ceiling and the top of the door is decorated with rich carved ornaments with peacocks, various animals and plants. The pesky gloss of gold is softened by time and whitish twilight, into which white Japanese paper turns daylight. We will end our journey at the Nishijin Textile Center, which is both a factory, a museum, a gallery and a store of traditional textile products, where we can literally touch the culture of Japanese clothing. We will get to the fashion show kimono, a 15-minute show with new items from the latest collection. The show showcases both holiday models and everyday options. Next, look at the old looms and other equipment, because here, as in all of Kyoto, very appreciate the traditional craft. The factory shows the same way as weaving silk, products from which you can buy here. You have the opportunity to buy a kimono, yukata, various accessories of high quality. Here at your service not only a rich selection of souvenirs and handicrafts In the ancient capital concentrated most of the preserved monuments of Japanese architecture and art.
