The fascinating beauty of Arashiyama.

Arashiyama is a beautiful area in the west of Kyoto at the foot of the mountain of the same name. If you plan to stay in Kyoto for more than one day, I highly recommend visiting this mysterious place. You will be able to enjoy the beauty of nature – especially the breathtaking views in autumn, when maples turn red and during gentle cherry blossoms in spring. However, in the rest of the year, the riot of nature will not leave you indifferent. Ancient temples, walks along the winding paths of a bamboo grove, boating along the picturesque Hozu River communication with tame monkeys - all this will certainly create a lot of positive emotions.

Of particular beauty is the villa of the famous film actor Okochi Sanso, built on a mountain with a magnificent garden, which offers stunning views of Mount Hiei, the Gorge of the Hozu River and the surroundings of Kyoto. Once the fascinating beauty of Arashiyama so captivated the young actor that he decided at all costs to build a residence in this place. He had been hatching this idea for 30 years, and in the end he managed to fulfill his dream. In a calm atmosphere in the fresh air, you will be offered match tea and traditional sweets, and you can fully enjoy the splendor of the villa and its gardens, beautiful at any time of the year, but especially in autumn.
