Overview to Bangkok. What to see in one day?
We decided that we urgently need to see the capital of the country. Thailandin which we lived a full 8 months.
We decided to use the most budget option to get to phuket before Bangkok - bus.

How much does the bus cost, where to buy tickets, how much to go
Almost every day at 15.30, 16 and 18 comfortable buses leave. On the trip you need to spend 13 hours, stop only one, food is free. The ticket costs 1112 baht per person in the 1st direction (2922 rubles at the current rate).
It is better to buy tickets at least one day before the trip. You can buy them directly on Bus Station Phuket 2, from where the bus leaves.
We got tickets for 15:30 and at 4:00 the next day we were in Bangkok. It is hard to spend so much time on the trip. Especially since there's only one stop. But on the bus they give dry rations (apple juice, a bottle of water, waffles, salt crackers and cookies), there is a TV, they issue a plaid, the seat is adjustable, the bus has a toilet.
Stopping to eat happened only at 23 hours, so even better to take some snacks with you.

Morning in Bangkok
Arrival time is quite convenient, you can disembark at one of the bus stations - there are two in Bangkok. We did not go out on the first, we went to the second. We saw which cafes were open, ordered a taxi and drove to the shopping center.
Where to eat
We accidentally discovered that there is a ramen in the Mall (we are big ramen lovers). We went to an authentic place, where everything is made in the likeness of Japanese cafes - individual booths.
In general, the choice of cafes is very large, many round-the-clock places, on Google maps there is absolutely everything, so it is not difficult to find.

What to see in Bangkok in 9 hours?
The trip I was planning urgently, so the plan was made very on the run and on the map. I chose 2 parks, a mall, Chinatown and a Ferris wheel.
Benchakitti Park

First we reached the park with beautiful fountains, treadmills, beautiful flora and rodents, which are interesting to shoot.
The park is very large, it has many interesting plants and flowers, all kinds of animals, many simulators and interesting structures.

Lumpini Park

The park is more closed and compact than the previous one. We were very interested in the pictures of lizards on the maps, gladly went to look at them.
We saw Varanov almost immediately, it turned out that they are completely everywhere near water bodies. Quietly dig worms, walk, swim in ponds and just relax. They made a million videos. It was very interesting.

Also in the park practice sports, training in various martial arts. In the ponds, huge fish, turtles swim, giant arthropods crawl.
We definitely recommend a visit.
Tuk tuk and a failed Ferris wheel ride
We decided not to go to Chinatown because we were tired of walking. We decided to immediately go to the tuk tuke, which was caught near the park, to the Ferris wheel.
At first we got into a nice tuk tuk, but the driver stopped halfway and transplanted us into some old tarantaika.
The driver told us that the wheel opens after 16 (on the card after 17). He suggested we take a boat ride in downtown Bangkok.
I brought it to some corner, in which we announced the price of 2000 baht (5222 rubles) per hour of boating. We certainly refused.
The driver brought us to the wheel, had 100 baht ( bargained with 200), but gave 150 baht for service with the boat.
In general, a fun and inexpensive attraction.
8 out of 10 (2 points removed for transplant).
Overview of Bangkok from water for 32 baht

We decided to walk around the closed wheel. The place was boring. I looked at the map to see where else to go. There was about 3 hours left for sure.
I found a boat pier right near the park, I began to look, it turned out that a regular boat for 16 baht per person (42 rubles) goes through the whole center of Bangkok. We reached out to him and told him where to buy a ticket.
Turns out it was on the boat. We got on the boat, waited for departure. There were 10 minutes left before departure. They paid 16 baht per person (they did not believe until the last).
It turned out that we also sat at the final stop, so there were no people at all. There was a lot going on at other stops though.
What can you see from the boat?

In addition to the chic views of the city, various temples, coastal buildings, fishing houses, luxury hotels and various bridges, there was another fascinating sight.
The kid who moored the boat at every stop. It's real art. How he managed the whistle so that the boat driver started to slow down before stopping, moored correctly to the pier. How he grabbed the rope literally for a second jumped off the boat and clinged the rope to the fortifications at the feast, then again whistled, unhooked and jumped on the boat. We watched him at every stop. It was fascinating.

And in principle, the boat was moving at a sufficient speed to look at everything. Many interesting buildings and buildings can be seen on the road. You can get off at any stop, but we arrived almost to the end. From there, we have already left for the bus, which departs on Sunday at 18:00.
If we had more time, we would have gone the other way.
I definitely recommend this boat. You can find it on Google Maps. The river is called Chao Phraya.

Conclusion and calculation

We left Phuket at 15.30 on Saturday and returned to Phuket at 5am on Monday. We saw the parks, the city, went on a tuk tuke and a boat.
We spent 4,448 baht (11,668 rubles) on the bus. For comparison, the plane costs about 40 000 rubles for two in both directions.
Both parks looked free, tuk tuk spent 150 baht, on the boat 32 baht. About 300 baht was spent on taxis (moved to the cafe mainly).
We ate 2 meals in the cafe and had a little snack on the way.
In total, the trip with food and travel took 8,500 baht (22,336 rubles).
Bangkok is definitely worth a visit!
