Pyatigorsk - a rather large resort town of the "pearl" of the Caucasian Mineral Waters. Second in the region after Stavropol. It is a balneological, radon and mud resort.
Pyatigorsk
Pyatigorsk is located on the slopes of the mountains Mashuk and Hot. Mashuk is visible from all the iconic places of Pyatigorsk, pointing the way to a lost tourist.
The river Podkumok, the tributary of Kuma flows close. In Pyatigorsk there are more than 20 sanatoriums and Radon balneo-mud hospitals (Upper and Lower).
The average price tag of a ticket in the sanatorium of Pyatigorsk is about 50,000 rubles and higher, depending on the number of days. The most inexpensive sanatorium "Iskra", a ticket to which for a therapeutic treatment profile you can buy at a "successful location of the stars" at a price of 28,000 rubles, just accommodation at a price of 25,000 rubles for 14 days.
The cheapest trips in December, November, January. The price goes up towards the summer.
Radon treatments
Unique treatment programs are offered by the Lermontovsky sanatorium, located right across the street from the famous Upper Radon Bathroom.

I was lucky to undergo these procedures with a unique ozone therapist Elena Gerovich, as far as I know, she currently works in the sanatorium named after S. M. Kirov (one stop further).

Already after the first treatment with cold ozone, the swelling under the eyes, the “bags” with which I suffered for two years after the unsuccessful introduction of the hylauron filler – there was no trace of them, my face again became my face of a twenty-year-old girl!
However, the effect lasted only one day, it takes at least five procedures to fix it.

I liked toothpastes that can cope with bleeding gums, mud shampoos and hair masks, nutritious hard creams, cold creams with extracts from flowers and plants, dry perfumes, Caucasian ubtans (a unique product: dry face mask consisting of finely ground plants and herbs, salts and clay, this is both a scrub and a washing agent, being an herbal powder ubtan restores skin cells from the inside), balms with natural cosmetic pancakes, cosmetics.
Upper Radon Hospital can be reached by bus No. 1, the stop is called "Upper Radon Hospital", the fare is 25 rubles.
In my opinion, it is more economical to buy accommodation in the hotel of Pyatigorsk and attend procedures in the Upper Radon Hospital or medical institutions of the city on an outpatient basis.
For example, I stayed in the oldest and largest hotel in the city "Pyatigorsk" (from 1,900 rubles / day), located conveniently in the city center, near the Upper Market and bus stop No. 1. For a 12-day stay (10-day course of treatment with radon), I paid 20,000 rubles, including a resort fee of about 1,500 rubles.
For the treatment itself under the “gynecologic program” of no more than 15,000 rubles, I received injections of ozone in the abdomen, gynecological microclysters, gynecological irrigation with ozone, and thyroid treatment with ozone injections. So I actually went through pregravidary training and was ready for artificial ways to conceive a child.
Hostels
I ate in the hypermarket "Metro" in the city limits "Pyatigorsk", to which I got daily from the bus station of the Upper Market route No. 112 a, 112 e, the fare cost 43 rubles one way.
When booking on Yandex, you can choose a very presentable hostel worth about 7 000 rubles for 14 days.
The minimum price tag for the hostel I saw in the hostel near the bus station: 500 rubles / day. And for the hotel: 1 400 rubles / day, the hotel is located near the gas station and the bus station.
High-quality hotel service and a good price tag are also offered by URAGI hotels on the river bank near the Bus Terminal and the Cruise hotel chain near 2,000 rubles / day.
In general, the lowest price tag for living in Pyatigorsk: 2,000 rubles per day. Hotels are crowded and there are not enough seats.
Personally, I do not consider accommodation options in hostels and hosts, knowing the Russian mentality in relation to hostels, and the complete unsanitary conditions of the hosts, I do not recommend such accommodation options.
From the entertainment of Pyatigorsk, I want to note the offers of travel agencies, a walk to Lake Proval (free, the final bus No. 1), the famous Kisa Vorobyaninov and Ostap Bender, a rope to Mount Mashuk (400 rubles one way), the Flower Park with good restaurants.
Options to spend the weekend in Pyatigorsk with the participation of the local travel agency more than a dozen.
Professionals of the tourist market offer one-day inexpensive tours to Chechnya, Ingushetia, Upper Balkaria.
The cost of such a tour is about 3000 rubles. Pilgrimage excursions to the relics of Matrona, Theodosius of the Caucasus, the monasteries of St. George and Second Athos.
Originally Pyatigorsk is a fur place. Shopping in many fashionable fur shops, boutiques and on the market will not leave fashionistas indifferent. The coat can be bought for a price of 6000 rubles. In the season 2022-2023, sheepskin is fashionable.
What to see for yourself
The Caucasian mountains have unique natural hot springs, interesting excursions to the springs located near Pyatigorsk: Suvorovsky, Aushiger and others.
I did not like the route of the excursion: some Muslim mosques, also a rude guide, constantly brazenly "piercing", in a fur natural cape, of course, of Pyatigorsk production.
From Pyatigorsk souvenirs, I recommend buying Kislovodsky porcelain, which is sold in benches on the Central Alley of the city and mud cosmetics, sold in the drinking bays of the city.
