Mezmay - Russian Shambhala

Once on the site of Mezmay there was an ancient ocean. Now, the village is located at an altitude of 670 meters above sea level between mountain ranges in a pit, protected from sea winds on all sides, along the mouth of the Kurjips River.

And the history of these places is very interesting and the people lived in darkness. 70-40 thousand years ago, Mezmay was already inhabited by people, as evidenced by the discovery of an ancient skeleton, a Neanderthal child in 1993 in the famous Mezmaysk cave 6 kilometers from the village. Then the Scythian-Alan tribes lived in these territories, which were replaced by the Circassians. It was they who gave the name to the settlement: “forest of wild apples” or Mezmay.

In the second half of the 19th century, the lands passed to the Cossacks. We can say that originally Mezmay was founded as a village of loggers and gold miners.

There are also known settlements of Poles near Mezmay: the village of Temnoleska. In both cases, the Poles, being without a Catholic priest, converted to Orthodoxy and gradually became Russified, but preserved the memory of their origin. Their descendants lived directly in Mezmay. So, I believe that the use of respectful words: “māni, panochka” when addressing the Mezmayians is quite appropriate.

After Perestroika, many left these places for economic reasons. But simultaneously with the outflow of people, an influx of creative intelligentsia began: artists, musicians, esotericists, astronomers reached Mezmay. In Mezmay - the best place in the world to observe the starry sky. As many stars as you can see here on a clear night, you can not see anywhere else! Astronomers like to organize meetings here.

The village attracts as a magnet and spiritual seekers: representatives of Hinduism, shamanism, Buddhism, magicians, yogis. In this environment, Mezmay is considered a place of power. Modern cottages appeared in the village, well-groomed new houses with the arrival of spiritual people, life and tourists slowly return to the village.

Mezmay is located in the geoanomalous zone. There are large faults of the earth's crust. Developed reef massifs of enormous power. Unique species of trees, birds and animals are found in the mountains. In Mezmaysk cave found volcanic ash volcano Kazbek, active more than 40 thousand years ago, which led to the onset of “volcanic winter” on the planet. That says a lot. Many people feel the cosmic energy here.

Psychics come here calling Mezmay anomalous zone and “Russian Shambhala”. Also, the place is loved by raw fooders, UFO seekers. Many people say they saw a UFO there. According to eyewitnesses, in 2009, a UFO was moving towards the Michael stone. Locals also saw a bird-like UFO over the Lagonak Highlands. UFOs were seen in bushes, spherical - in the sky. They also talk about the local Gosha - the snowman there. Gosh can be seen at night, all who see his shadow are overwhelmed by inexplicable fear and terror.

Also frighten local earth wasps, very biting creatures, stepping on the hives of which it is impossible. And hallucinations: the sound of a guitar, crying baby and otherworldly hormone along the river.
