Plovdiv Airport
Description:
Plovdiv International Airport is one of the airports in Bulgaria, also known as Krumovo Airport.
The airport received its second name from the village of the same name, located 6 kilometers southeast of the airport. The airport is located near the popular ski resorts of Bulgaria, so the peak passenger traffic at this airport falls in the winter season.
The main flights of the airport are charter flights from Russia, Ireland and the UK.
In 2009, a new passenger terminal opened at Plovdiv Airport.
Near the airport is a unique aviation museum of Bulgaria.
