Ravadinovo Castle

Ravadinovo is a small Bulgarian village located near the Black Sea coast. It became famous all over the world after the former athlete and police officer Georgi Tumpalov began building his own medieval castle here.

Tumpalov is the owner, architect and builder in one person, so the work is still not finished, although tourists are already allowed here (entrance costs about 3 euros). Most of all, the castle resembles the works of Gaudí, diluted with Byzantine inclusions. The building is surrounded by a lush park with amazing arbors and a pond with swans. After the completion of construction, the owner intends to open a high-class tourist complex here.
