About the company:

The Ethnographic Museum of Varna was founded in 1974 in a magnificent building made in the Renaissance style. Its exposition presents many samples revealing the rich diversity of life and culture of the Varna region in the period from the beginning of the XIX to the end of the XX century. On the ground floor there is an exhibition telling visitors about the main occupations of the indigenous population - livestock, agriculture, fishing, viticulture and beekeeping. Particular attention is paid to bondar and weaving craft.

On the second floor of the Ethnographic Museum there are a variety of folk costumes that give an idea of the demographic appearance of the local places. Due to the complex migration processes that took place in the nineteenth century, the clothes of the inhabitants of those times are very diverse. This unique collection will give an idea of the appearance of both the local population and immigrants from Asia Minor, Macedonia and Thrace.

The highlight of the museum is a small ancient ralo "Dolmeja", which was used for plowing the land in the early XX century. Also, tourists are presented forms for baking bread and vessels for storing grain. The institution operates from Tuesday to Sunday - from 10:00 to 17:00.
