Museum of History of Varna
About the company:
The Varna History Museum, founded in 1969, is located in one of the oldest fully preserved houses in Varna. The museum’s collection tells about the economic and cultural development of the city.
The museum was built in 1851 for the Belgian consulate. It was later used as a hotel and served as a prison from the late 19th century until 1929. Currently, on three floors of the building there is an exposition of the museum, telling about the history of the city in the period 1878-1939.
In the exposition of the museum you can learn a lot about the development of the main crafts of the region and see objects such as the first loom, photographs of the first models of boats and ships, as well as their individual parts sewing machines and shoemaker tools, as well as musical instruments, old city maps, photographs and many other historical things.
