Karlsberg Brewery

Ny Carlsberg Vej 100, 1760 Kø benhavn, Denmark

About the company:

Karlsberg Brewery was founded in 1847 by Jacob Christian, a descendant of the Royal Brewer of Copenhagen. The brewery is located on the high hill of Valbi.

The brewery, named after Jacob’s son, became famous throughout Europe by the end of the 19th century. After that, Karl founded his own brewery in 1882, calling it New Karlsberg, and in 1906 they were merged into a single enterprise.

Now in the old building is a brewing house Jacobsen, where new beers are developed. Here you can not only look at all the stages of brewing, but also taste the drink in the bar located on the second floor of the building.
