Copenhagen

Tour of the canals of Copenhagen on a private boat Goboat

Description:

From the water, the city looks very different and during a 2-hour excursion you will see much that you will not see when walking around the Danish capital. There are many canals in the city, so you do not need to go to Venice to ride along the canals - this can be done in Copenhagen. We are going to rent a boat Goboat and for the next 2 hours I will be your captain, guide and guide through the waterways of the Danish capital.

We begin our tour on the picturesque promenade of the Islands Brygge, which until the beginning of the 20th century was a military zone, and today has become a favorite place for relaxation and swimming with locals.

What kind of Danes are they? What does Denmark make? What is the philosophy of Hugge? These and many more questions will be answered during our Copenhagen Canal Tour.

Accessibility, openness, transparency, legality and loyalty are the pillars of Danish society, and we will see this with the example of the Danish Parliament, Slotsholm Power Island, Christiansborg Castle, the Exchange Building and the sculpture of Bishop Absalon, the founder of Copenhagen, when we are in the historic part of the city. Here we will talk about how everything for the city of Copenhagen began; why Denmark and Scandinavia are so called; how the city of Copenhagen has changed over the past 1,000 years and under what circumstances a small fishing village has become one of the most beautiful capitals of northern Europe.

We will not ignore the main city attractions: the Nyhavn embankment, the houses of the storyteller Andersen, the new Opera House, the Actor’s house, the kissing bridge, the houses of Danish fat cats, Holmen Island, the Marble Church, the Amalienborg Palace Ensemble, the Sixtus Battery, the Master Crane and other objects, where we will talk about modern Denmark, the monarchy, Queen Margaret 2nd, who can trace her ancestry back more than 1,000 years. As well as the culture and values of the Danes, the world-famous Danish brands and the contradictions of Danish society.

The final part of our sea trip will be the Christianholm Canal, with one of the most controversial areas in Copenhagen, Christiania, a place where people have been living an alternative lifestyle for the past 40 years and selling light drugs, despite the fact that it is prohibited by law. To talk about what can and can not be done in the Danish kingdom, we will swim to the city canal, which will return to the boat station. Here, we're going to draw a portrait of the average Dane and summarize what makes them one of the happiest nations on the planet.

Features of the excursion: a great opportunity to ride along the canals of Copenhagen on a rented boat at your own pace and your company. Excellent landscapes, breathtaking urban stories and legends, the opportunity to feel the atmosphere of calm, comfort and harmony on your own boat. The tour is conducted in Russian and will be interesting for both adults and children.

See you in Copenhagen!!
