Copenhagen New Year's Eve
Description:
The New Year is one of the brightest and most memorable holidays of the year, especially for children, so we will try to help you in creating a festive mood to the maximum if you decide to come to Copenhagen - the capital of the Danish kingdom.
The New Year is a family holiday, which is usually celebrated in the family circle, both in Russia and in Denmark. The most fortunate of us traditionally go for the New Year holidays to bask in the sun or somewhere in Europe, but if you read these lines, then most likely you decided to visit the Danish kingdom this year and find out why Copenhagen is called the “pearl of Scandinavia”, why this city is considered “fairytale” and how it happened that the Danes for several years in a row were recognized as “the happiest nation” on the planet.
We look forward to showing you Copenhagen in all its glory. We will visit the Town Hall Square, see the former place of public executions, the Cathedral of the Virgin - the most important church in Copenhagen, walk past the Round Tower, walk along the pedestrian Stroget street to the Parliament building - the political heart of the Danish kingdom, visit the popular embankment of New Harbor, a place that falls on numerous postcards about Copenhagen, from where we are already close to the winter residence of the Queen - Amalienborg, fountains, Marble Church and, of course, the main symbol of Copenhagen - the Rus's sculptures, where we also walk through the city.
The New Year is a fabulous holiday, so we can not ignore Hans Christian Andersen, a great storyteller who lived in this city almost all his life, and whose name itself became a symbol of the Danish kingdom. We will plunge into the world of his fairy tales, see places associated with the life of the great writer and learn interesting facts from his life during a walk around Copenhagen.
It is impossible to imagine a New Year’s holiday without a glass of mulled wine or “Glegg”, a traditional winter drink, which is a mixture of red wine with a bouquet of spices, including cardamom, cloves and cinnamon, as well as gifts and festive fuss.
So we will finish our Christmas walk at the fun entertainment park Tivoli, full of surprises and pleasant surprises. Here you will find attractions, Christmas scenery, colorful shows, New Year's illumination, shops with festive tinsel, dwarves and elves of all stripes, cafes, restaurants and even a festive fireworks, if you decide to stay in Tivoli Park longer.
Features of the tour: Tivoli Park in 2018 is open until December 31. The tour is held only between November 10 and January 15.
