The Romance of Evening Copenhagen
Description:
“Any new city is like good wine. Copenhagen is a wine cellar. Copenhagen is a very multifaceted city and you can and should study it slowly and consistently. Like a glass of good wine and then the city will play with bright colors, it will open to you and you will understand how beautiful it is.
Every traveler should definitely walk around Copenhagen in the rays of the setting sun, when the cobbled streets are filled with mysterious lights, and medieval legends and stories come to life in the walls of the city.
We will visit with you on observation decks, city squares, see the main sights of Copenhagen in the light of evening lights and you will be surprised how “evening” Copenhagen is not like its “day” counterpart.
To begin with, we will go to a place that is rarely found on standard tourist routes - the northern harbor area (Dan. Nordhavn) from which a beautiful panorama of Copenhagen opens. Here we will talk about how Copenhagen developed over the past 200 years, why 175,000 Danes emigrated from Denmark in the late 19th century and what makes Copenhagen one of the most interesting capitals of northern Europe today.
Then we will visit the Castellet fortress, the Gefion Fountain, the Marble Church and the Amalienborg Palace Ensemble. Rays, elusive sun, 18th century architecture, royal guardsmen, high bear hats, lanterns and ancient paving stones are transformed with sunset. You get the feeling that you find yourself on the pages of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales. Therefore, here we will talk about the great writer, Scandinavian mythology, the romance of the Middle Ages, the current royal family and legends of the past.
We are waiting for the embankments of Islands Brygge and New Harbour (Date Nyhavn), a panorama of evening Copenhagen at the new Opera House, colorful old streets, lights and observation platforms. We will end our walk at the entrance to the magnificent Tivoli Park, which lights up 10,000 light bulbs at night - this is the magic of the evening Copenhagen, where I invite you to dive during your visit to the Danish kingdom.
Features of the tour: Dedicated to all romantics. Everyone who wants to see Copenhagen from an unusual angle will like it, especially if you have been to Copenhagen before.
