Christianity: Anarchy at the Heart of Monarchy
Description:
If you have already got acquainted with the capital of the Danish Kingdom and have visited all the sights, for contrast, I suggest you take a walk to the Free (or Free) city of Christiania.
During this tour we will be able to see Copenhagen from a completely different side. In the center of the capital, just a few hundred meters from the Danish Parliament, lies a partially self-governing, unofficial “state within a state.” Christianity has more than thirty years of history – long and intricate, with its battles, victories and defeats. Many of the people who were there at the beginning of this experiment are gone. But the dream of living in freedom and the idea of a self-governing city lives on. And here still attracts people from all over the world a magical mixture of anarchy and love.
Today’s Christiania is an open, creative, inhabited and safe territory. Its goal is to create a self-governing, economically self-sufficient society in which everyone is responsible for their well-being.
