Central Square of Copenhagen
Rå dhuspladsen, 1599 Kø benhavn V, Denmark
Description:
Town Hall Square is located in the heart of Copenhagen, in front of the city hall. It is the most popular place for various events, holidays and demonstrations, as well as for meetings of lovers and lost tourists. It is almost impossible to miss it, because it is located in the most saturated area of Copenhagen.
In addition to the surrounding buildings on the square there are several interesting sights. Here is, known by most guidebooks, a house with a thermometer installed in a special tower on the upper floor. In sunny weather, a girl on a bicycle is shown in it, and in cloudy and rain a girl with an umbrella comes out. Also on the town hall square there is a zero kilometer, where it is customary to throw coins, as in Moscow. There is also a monument to G.H. Andersen and an unusual fountain - "The bull tearing the dragon."
