Ancient settlement "Valley of artisans" Deir el-Medina

An ancient settlement with an unusual name "Valley of artisans" (Egypt), located in Deir el-Medina, on the west bank of Luxor. This popular architectural and historical complex among tourists is a place where ancient workers who built temple buildings lived. The historically significant ancient object, surrounded by rather high stone walls, was discovered during excavations at the beginning of the last century. The findings of archaeologists were presented by papyri, as well as written ancient clay tablets, clearly illuminating the daily life of the ordinary population of Egypt.
