Description:
The temples of Abydos (Egypt, Luxor) are buildings revered by the ancient Egyptians as the world’s greatest shrines. The ancient city was perceived as a cult center dedicated to Osiris, and was regarded as the gateway to the underworld. The central attraction of the city is the temple of Seti-I, erected in honor of the second pharaoh of the dynasty and a successful conqueror.
During the excavation of this structure, archaeologists found tablets containing mysterious writings, the origin of which has not yet been established. The temple coordinates are 26.18531700 and 31.91360400.
