Sharm El Sheikh

Tiran Island

oh. Tyrant, mouth of the Gulf of Aqaba, opposite Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt

Description:

Tiran Island is one of the most interesting islands in all of Sharm El Sheikh. This island primarily attracts visitors by the fact that just 50 years ago it was a complete mystery to researchers, and today it is quite well studied and even very popular among tourists.

However, landing on it is prohibited, in particular, because of possible mining and because of the presence of a base of peacekeepers from the UN. The island is completely devoid of vegetation, from afar it resembles several small mountains.

Many turtles and birds are constantly finding shelter.
