A fascinating excursion to the Viking Village. One of the most extravagant sights of Estonia was built 29 km from Tallinn in 2005 by a group of enthusiasts. In Viking Village you can relax in nature, catch trout (later it will be cooked), fight with swords, shoot with arches and if you want to stay overnight in the taverns, stylized as an old inn.
Viking Village was born in 2005, when young enthusiasts decided to realize their dream – to build a place filled with the atmosphere and spirit of the Middle Ages, where you can live, eat, fight, and then return to the modern world safe and sound.
Viking Village is located 30 m from Tallinn on Tartu highway. A trip to it can be attached to a car tour. On the way, the guide will tell you who the Vikings are, when, where and how they lived, what they fought for. You will learn that these sea robbers, who have held Europe in fear for 300 years, have created their own civilization.
You will be offered to master the technique of throwing an axe and learn how to shoot from an archery, and then reinforce yourself in a tavern. If the stay in the village is prolonged, you can always stay for the night on the second floor of the tavern. In addition to fishing, competitions in the manner of the Vikings, dance and musical numbers. A trip to Viking Village will appeal to both family and large company.
