Excursion in the park at the castle of Baron Nicholas von Glen in Tallinn

Description:

Tallinn is famous primarily for its medieval core - the Old
downtown. But even outside the Old Town, there are places in Tallinn worth visiting. One of these places is the castle of Baron Nikolai von Glen, in the quiet, cozy, green area of Tallinn Nymme (Nymme means pine in the sand in Estonian).

At the end of the 19th century, Nikolai von Glen on the lands belonging to him erected an estate in the historical style, with a park, buildings and sculptures (many of which were created by his hands), with a family cemetery, and nearby, in a pine forest, a country settlement, which later became a resort town, near Tallinn. Only in 1940, Nymme became part of the capital of Estonia, but still stands out for its special, “Nimme spirit”, surprises everyone with silence, greenery and a measured, leisurely, almost “dacha” life.

I invite everyone to Nymma, to get acquainted with the heritage of the baron, with the amazing history of his family!
