The fortress began to be built in the late 13th century on a small rocky island. Initially, only thick fortresses were built, but in the 15th century more than 50 rooms and halls appeared in the castle. In the 16th century, Duke Johan lived in the castle, who landscaped the Renaissance-style apartments, where a brilliant court life took place. Since the 17th century, the castle was in poor condition due to fires and destruction. After the restoration, which took place already in modern times, a museum was opened in the castle. The guide celebrates the group with the history of the castle, with medieval life and historical personalities who lived here for some time. Various exhibitions are arranged in the fortress-museum. The total area of the museum is about 20,000 square meters and more than 100 rooms. So there's a lot to see. Duration of the city tour: 2 or 3 hours.
