Description:

Turku is an ancient city in southwestern Finland, the fifth most populous in the country. Tourists are attracted by numerous architectural attractions, including the thirteenth century castle. Here you can visit the house of Moomin trolls, and in winter Turku becomes the Christmas capital of Finland.

Turku Airport is located eight kilometers from the city. It is part of a network of twenty-five airports operated by Finavia. Opened in 1935, the airport is Finland’s oldest passenger airport and one of the busiest in the country. Over a year, more than 370 thousand people pass through the two passenger terminals of the airport. The length of the airport runway is two and a half kilometers.

Besides Helsinki, regular flights connect Turku Airport with Riga, Stockholm and Copenhagen. In addition, there are seasonal flights to Budapest, as well as charter flights to Tenerife and Antalya. From the city to the airport and back every twenty minutes leaves the bus route number 1. Car rental points are open at the airport.
