6 days of Svaneti

Travel to Svaneti
Day 1

After breakfast, we leave Tbilisi (preferably at 9:00) and head to Western Georgia.
We cross the Likh Ridge through the tunnel and the Ricoti Pass - and get to the greener edge of the country. After the summer drought, eastern Georgia is already burnt out, and western Georgia still enjoys bright colors.

Going down to the valley and reaching the city of Zestafoni, you can make a stop and have a snack - some of the most delicious khachapuri in Georgia are prepared here!

After that, we continue on our way to Okatse Canyon.
Without reaching it, if there is time, we drive to the village of Hidi, leave things in a small hotel and go up to the waterfall Kinchha.
We go back to the hotel for the night.

Day 2

In the morning, after breakfast, we go to Svaneti.
On the way we visit Martvili Canyon. Then, through Zugdidi and Jvari, we begin the ascent to Svaneti - to the town of Mestia.

By noon, we arrive in Mestia, check in to the cozy guest house Svan House (the cost of a double room is $ 40-50).
After rest, we visit one of the main museums of Georgia - the Museum of History and Ethnography of Svaneti.
In the evening we return to the hotel for rest.

Day 3

After breakfast, we climb the cable car of the Khatsvali ski resort.
From the height there are stunning views of the mountains and glaciers of Svaneti.

By lunch, we climb to the very top of the Tetnuldi ski resort - to the foot of the glacier of the same name.
From here, magnificent panoramas of the Caucasus mountains and valleys open. The height is about 3200 meters.

In the evening, after a pleasant picnic in the fresh air, we go down to the hotel.
Overnight at Svan House.

Day 4

After breakfast, we go up to the highland lakes of Coruldi.
From here, amazing views open - in Svaneti, the landscape changes every few kilometers!

By noon, we descend to Mestia and go to the Ushguli community, the highest permanent residential settlement in Europe.
We visit the medieval monastery of Lamaria (Mother of God) and admire the views of the mountains and the glacier of Shhara.

If you have time, you can take horses and climb closer to the glacier.
After a walk, we return to the guest house and spend the night in Ushguli.

Day 5

After breakfast from the upper Svaneti (Ushguli) we go down to the lower - to Lentekhi.
To do this, we climb and cross one of the most picturesque passes of the Caucasus - Zaghari-Koruldashi, passing the Aylam glacier.

You should definitely have a picnic here!
Further, through the villages of Zesho and Tsana, we go down to Lentekhi, then along the valley of the Tskhenistskali River we go to Lechkhumi - the town of Tsageri.

Day 6

After breakfast we visit the caves of Prometheus and Sataplia, and then go:
