Trogir Cathedral

21220, Trogir, Croatia

Description:

Trogir Cathedral in Croatia is the largest and most famous of all the churches in the city.

It was built on the site of a pagan temple, the ruins of which can be found in the eastern part of the cathedral. The temple was erected in honor of St. John the Baptist, and its interior decoration was richly decorated with many icons and sculptures.

Today, the cathedral is an important historical and cultural center of Trogir, as well as the venue for many cultural, social and religious events. Tourists can get to the cathedral by bus-express, which follows from Trogir to Trogir-Nadrezh.

However, if you want to walk through the streets of Trogir and not sit indoors, you should not choose an express bus, because there are no signs at its stops. If you don’t want to get lost, take a taxi.
