Museum - John Jemeson's distillery

Bow Street, Smithfield, Dublin, Co. Dublin, Ireland

About the company:

John Jameson's distillery, opened by him in 1780, is a museum of one of the symbols of Ireland - the world-famous Jameson whiskey, which is already 230 years old. It is located in the heart of the city next to the Park Inn Hotel.

During the tour of the museum you will visit the courtyard, where you will see a large copper vessel. Despite the fact that the drink on the territory of the museum is no longer produced, there is still a feeling of the atmosphere that reigned for several centuries.

In the museum you will learn all about the traditions of making famous whiskey, you will be able to taste the best varieties of this drink, as well as see labels with the image of the family coat of arms of Jemeson and his crown motto "Sine metu" - which means "without fear", and in the cinema hall you will be sure to show a film telling about the history of the world's largest whiskey production enterprise, its founder and the current success of the plant.
