Arrecife is the capital of Lanzarote!

Arrecife is the largest commercial and passenger port located in the southeastern part of Lanzarote and at the same time the capital of the island!

Arrecife is snow-white, huge, by local standards, stretched on the Atlantic coast, and worthy of a visit! In Arrecife - a luxurious promenade with restaurants, administrative buildings, with stunning houses in the colonial style! Currently, the project has received funding for the construction of the world’s longest (!) embankment, 23 km long, which will connect Arrecife with another tourist center of Lanzarote – Costa Tegise. Arrecife has two fortresses that were built to fight back pirates, and now houses art galleries and contemporary art museums. We'll visit them! These are the castles of San Gabriel and San Jose.
