The rocks of Famara are about 10 million years old, they are the oldest rocks after the mountains of Los Ajaches in southern Lanzarote. It is a spectacular place with a beautiful view of the islands of the achipelago of Cinigijo: La Gracioza, Alegranza and smaller, on the surfer-fishing village - Famaru, and on the beach.
